Iron ochre is formed by the transformation of liquid iron present in some soils, thus forming a kind of orange mud. This slurry migrates towards the french drain and is deposited in the catchment or in the pipe leading to the storm sewer. The first problems may occur in the early years of the construction of a building or a house.
